When I met Anna for our consultation I saw that she was a bit shy with me and unsure of what she wanted. I started to give her ideas of locations and show her clothing options and we soon had a plan. Much to my surprise on shoot day, her outfits were just adorable. Well thought out and so fun and trendy!
Anna started of shy and felt awkward which is very normal I told her. Once she copied my posing and I got her laughing, she was on a roll. Every shot got better and better and her personality started to come out with me. I loved every outfit she picked for her session and couldn't wait to take her to locations that complimented them. We had the best time, lots of laughs and by the end of the day her last Free People dress was a showstopper. It got pretty cold, 45 degrees and although she had goose bumps everywhere
she still had a smile on her face. Well her gallery was one of my favorites with all the styles, colors and pretty light. Congrats Anna for being one of my most featured seniors on Senior Photographers sites in the US. It was a pleasure to be your photographer!
“Thank you for making my daughter feel like a model. It was awesome! Thank you for the beautiful pictures and for at least a moment of making my daughter feel beautiful"
I love when I meet a guy who has his own ideas and knows what he wants during his session. When I met Grayson to plan his session, I soon realized this kid has great style and loved shoes!
This guy has quite a story! I learned so much about Grayson and what means the most to him. First, how he help refurbish his vintage 1989 Toyota Landcruiser that he currently drives. We brought it on the shoot to get some cool shots with it. He will want to remember his high school truck in his photos when he looks back on them someday. I also learned how he has a large collection of shoes. He had ones to match every look, and they finished off every set perfectly. I was impressed! He just found out he will be attending NC State next year in the engineering program with biomedical intent. This was a goal of his and coming from a Wolfpack family I know he is pretty excited about it. We had to shoot at the NC State Library and rooftop to end our session since State has a fond place in their families heart. It was a first for me, and I was impressed!
"Kerri made Grayson feel comfortable in front of the camera, and that is not easy! She took the time to really make this a personal experience; he enjoyed the process and the results. We are looking forward to having Kerri help us create family memories for years to come"
Kaycee was so much fun to work with in her senior session. When I saw she cut her hair with bangs I loved them! I kidded with her that she was my Taylor Swift look alike. She had the best style and it's obvious in her images.
Kaycee told me in her consult she wanted fall colors and nature. She also said she trusted me as to where I took her. I was up for the challenge. We stayed in Wake Forest and I took her to an area with pretty light and a rotten tree stump. She looked at me and said, "Ok?, but I trust your eye." I sat her on the rotten stump, dragged away the brush and moved over some trash and voila! We got these beautiful shots of her in the golden leaves and pretty light. I love making an ugly location and a beautiful senior look good!
"Kerri did an amazing job before and during Kaycee’s shoot. I had a great time watching and helping out with the session! We had so much fun and lots of laughs. The pictures we’ve seen are stunning and I’m so glad we did Kaycee's senior pictures with Kerri."
I love it when I can get my seniors to relax and enjoy the process. Being a bit nervous is normal so it does take about 20 minutes to learn the process. Janie was just like that. Once I worked with her on posing and movement, she was all in. This girl didn't need any more help from me!
I've always known Janie as Luke's "little sister". Fast forward about three years and I barely recognized her! She is a beauty with a whole lot of personality. After calming her nerves with the idea of being my model for the day, she warmed right up to the whole thing. As soon as she saw what I saw on the back of my camera, a big smile came across her face. She did amazing the entire time and her images are just beautiful of her.
“Kerri took my son’s senior photos two years ago and we knew after that shoot that she would be Janie’s photographer for her senior year. Kerri is so detailed from the initial coffee session, recommendations for outfits and locations, planning hair and makeup session to the final perfect day for your senior! The lighting and locations were perfect for Janie. Nikki did a fabulous job with her hair and makeup."
I met Kiersten when I shot for the Wakefield Cheer team a few years ago. Cheerleaders have a place in my heart as both my daugher's cheered most of their high school years. I was excited when she booked me as her photographer.
From the moment I met Kiersten and Julie I knew they would be my dream clients. They pay attention to details as I do so when they got all her outfits together she was set head to toe! This girl had the best session! There are galleries I can look at over and over and smile every time and this is one of them. Her great big smile is what she is known for and she glowed in all her shots. You can tell she had fun being my model for a day!
To say we were impressed is a total understatement. Kerri O’Brien Kerri O'Brien Photography we cannot thank you enough for the incredible time and effort you put into your client’s Senior photo sessions. You go above and beyond and your talent for style, color and light is a gift. Thank you so much for giving us these beautiful memories!
"I’m so thankful I got to take my senior pictures with Kerri O’Brien! With being in the class of 2020 many of the normal senior festivities were cancelled. Kerri was constantly updating me to make sure I was still able to have an amazing session! The whole process was as smooth as ever. She pays so much attention to the little details which makes all the difference.
Finding the right outfits and accessories to match can seem very stressful, but with Kerri’s style closet I had nothing to worry about! I had so much fun during my session and I can’t wait to see my reveal! Truly the best in the biz.
Sophia's session was booked right when the Stay At Home order was announced during the Pandemic. Though we rescheduled a few times, I would occasionally check in with them with reassurance that I would not cancel her session like so many of her senior year festivities were. The day finally came and it was a beautiful one! She had the best weather, a vacant city to shoot in, and great outfits. A little help from my style closet put the finishing touches on her with accessories and she looked like she was modeling for Vogue. Sophia just had her Reveal Session and they loved her gallery as much as I did. It was one of the highlights of her senior year and it sure brought a smile to her face, and mine!
"We are so thankful to Kerri for salvaging our crazy Senior Year with these beautiful Senior Portraits. Our sessions were some of the only normal things that happened for our graduate. Kerri kept in touch with us as our original dates and then our hopeful dates had to be changed because of restrictions but as soon as we were able to have the shoots she made them happen! Thankful for her knowledge, her photographic eye, her hair and makeup team and how much she cares about her Seniors. We've already booked a session for our 2021 graduate and will do the same with our daughter who graduates in 2022!"
